Rebind Options

On this page you will find various customizable options that you can add to your Bible. All of these options are additional add ons and are not required but are here to give you creative freedom to ensure that you can make the Bible that you want. If you do not see an option but are curious if I am able to do something, please email me at foundrybibles@gmail.com

Standard Yapp

A Standard Yapp is a small (3/8”) amount of leather that hangs over the text block. This is the normal choice for most Bibles that you see from standard publishers.

Yapp Size

Semi-Yapp

A Semi Yapp is a medium amount of leather that hangs over the text block. A Semi Yapp provides the Bible’s pages with a little protection for scratches and marks. A Semi Yapp is a good choice if you want a little more page protection without the look of the Full Yapp.

Full Yapp

A Full Yapp is the largest measurement of leather that hangs over the text block. A Full Yapp fully covers the page edges, providing ample protection from scratches and marks. A Full Yapp is a distinct look that is popular amongst premium Bibles and Bible rebinders.

Standard Stamping

Every Bible comes with this stamping, Holy Bible, Translation (ESV,LSB,etc.), and Foundry Logo. You can either choose gold foil, or you can choose blind stamping which is no foil. Gold foil is standard. *If you want blind stamping, please make a note of it in the comments section in the custom rebind form.

Custom Stamping

Custom Foundry Logo

You can choose to have the word FOUNDRY stamped onto the spine of your Bible instead of the original logo. You can choose this option in the custom rebind form under Custom Foundry Logo.

Name Engraving

You can choose to have your name engraved on the front cover of the Bible. This adds a nice personal touch to your Bible!

Perimeter Hand Stitching

No Perimeter Hand Stitching

The Standard Rebind Option does not come with Perimeter Hand Stitching. It is an additional add on.

Perimeter Hand Stitcing

You can choose to add Perimeter Hand Stitching on the front cover of the Bible. This process is done all by hand. Having your Bible stitched around the perimeter adds a premium look to your Bible as well as provides the Bible with some additional support. You can either choose the same color thread as the cover or contrast the color of thread, from the cover of the Bible.

Double Gold Gilt Lines

Single Gold Gilt Line

Every Bible comes with a Single Gold Gilt Line. This adds a beautiful accent of gold in the inside of the Bible.

Double Gold Gilt Lines

You can choose to add a Double Gold Gilt Line on the interior of the Bible. This adds a beautiful and premium look to the overall aesthetic of the Bible rebind.

Spine Hubs

Raised Spine Hubs

Every Bible comes with Raised Spine Hubs. These are the ridges on the spine of the Bible that give the Bible a cool and sleek look to it.

Tooled Spine Hubs

Instead of raised spine hubs, you can choose Tooled Spine Hubs. These are hubs that are made by tooling the leather to give the appearance of hubs. This is a classic look amongst Allan Bibles. You can choose this option in the custom rebind form for free if you prefer this look

Double Tooled Raised Hubs

You can choose to have what is called Double Tooled Raised Hubs. This is a cool look in Bible rebinding that adds two tooled lines, on the top and bottom of each raised hub.

Cover Tool Line

No Cover Tool Line

Every Bible comes with a standard front cover that does not have a Cover Tool Line on the front of it.

Cover Tool Line

You can choose to add a Cover Tool Line on the front cover of the Bible. This adds a tooled line that is made with heat and a leather tool all the way around the perimeter of the Bible. This leads to a cool look that adds come character to the front cover of the Bible.
